How to Deposit at Rizk

Money at Rizk moves in dinars from end to end, so nothing is converted between your bank and your balance and there is no spread to absorb on the way in. The routes fall into three families, and the only real decision is which family suits you — within a family the differences are small.

Which methods are available

The cashier offers 4 ways to pay in: Mastercard, AltaPay, DinaCard and Visa. The minimum and the ceiling for each method appear when you select it; those thresholds change now and then, so they are not worth memorising in advance.

Three families, not ten methods

However many names are on the cashier, they come down to three families, and the real decision is which family suits you.

  • Instant transfer and cards — goes straight from the account or the card and arrives within seconds. It needs your bank to allow that kind of transaction, which is the only real obstacle on this route.
  • Counter and cash — paid in person, and the balance updates immediately. It is slower than a phone by exactly the time it takes to reach a payment point.

Which family to pick

An instant transfer is the least work if paying from an app suits you. The counter pays off for anyone who passes a payment point in any case.

Where people get stuck

  • A card declined with no reason. Almost always the issuing bank rather than the site. Repeating it does not help; a different method does.
  • A payment from an account that is not yours. An account may be funded only from your own account or card. A third-party deposit is reversible at best and a verification problem at worst.
  • A counter payment missing from the balance. Keep the receipt until you see the money on the account — without its reference nothing can be traced. Do not pay a second time.
  • Depositing first and setting a limit later. The deposit limit from registration is the most useful button on the whole site, and setting it in advance is incomparably easier than remembering it later.

Paying in is the easier half. The half worth preparing for is getting it out, which is gated by verification rather than by any payment method — see how withdrawals work and registration and verification. The rest of the cashier is on the payments hub.
